Project Liftoff
Our Philosophy and Mission
Life is better with s’mores. And sunny days and starry skies, and off-key camp songs, lively games and craft projects made of popsicle sticks. Families grow stronger with spiritual quiet time, bonds are strengthened and new friends are made in a camp setting designed for families, youth and young children of all ages and faiths.
Project Liftoff is a non-profit initiative aimed at providing Lutherhill camp scholarships to deserving children and their families. Scholarships provided will enable families to attend camping retreats at Lutherhill Ministries in La Grange, Texas. Here, families can relax and renew in a safe environment. Project Liftoff will secure donations, identify deserving families and coordinate retreats with Lutherhill Ministries. Project Liftoff is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your donation may be tax deductible.
Lutherhill Ministries
Lutherhill…A place for all people, of every generation, to experience the love of Christ in a unique setting and in new ways. Lutherhill is a Summer Camp and Year Round Retreat Center in La Grange, Texas. This beautiful location is a great place for youth and adults to explore God’s world and word. Families of all faiths are welcome to come and enjoy 85 acres of wooded and wide open spaces.
Project Liftoff Founders
We are four married couples, long-time friends and fellow church members with 200 years of residence in Montgomery County, Texas between us. We share a passion for Lutherhill after experiencing the camp with both our children and grandchildren. God has called us to extend that opportunity to families within our community who might not otherwise be able to attend a weekend camp retreat.
